Holly Alva Wing was born January 30, 1897, probably in Clayton, Adams Co, Illinois. She was the daughter of Byron Wing & Annabelle Gore. The only girl among 4 brothers must have made her life tough. In addition to that, she was only 2 years old when her mother, Anna Bell Gore Wing, died on October 17, 1899. Thanks to Holly's granddaughter, Carlene Sandry, we have this photo and some information; Holly Alva Wing married Carl Carlson. Holly and Carl had 2 sons; Steven Carlson & Carl Logan Carlson. Steven died in 1993. Holly Alva Wing Carlson died on September 13, 1990 at the age of 93. She was buried at Linwood Cemetery in Galesburg, Illinois.
