1 JOHN WING (4) (JohnA, MathewB)
Born about 1613, probably Yarmouth, England. His will dated 2 May 1696 and its codicil dated 6 Feb 1698/9 were presented for probate on 10 Aug 1699. John married (1) ELIZABETH possibly Elizabeth Davis. (WE NOW KNOW THAT JOHN WING DID NOT MARRY ELIZABETH DAVIS) Not Elizabeth Dillingham as many would have it. (IN FACT, THE DILLINGHAM SOCIETY HAS NAMED ELIZABETH DILLINGHAM AS JOHN WING'S FIRST WIFE) He married (2) after 1669, MIRIAM DEANE of Plymouth, MA who died about 1702. Her will was signed 24 May 1701 and proved Jan 1702/3; daughter of Stephen Deane and Elizabeth Ring. John resided in Sandwich and later, Yarmouth, MA. It is possible that, though a quaker himself, he moved down cape to escape the notoriety his younger brothers were getting for their Quakerism. Per the Dillingham Gen Edward Dillingham and Elizabeth Carter had a daughter named Elizabeth baptized 2 Apr 1616, Cottesbach, Leicestershire, England and mentioned in her grandfather's will in 1624, but the same publications doubts that she left England. There has been no mention of her found in this country). John and Elizabeth had:
i SUSANNAH WING (8), born about 1647, Sandwich, MA, died 2 Aug 1717 aged 70 years, Harwich, MA (VR), buried in the Old Burying Ground in that part of Harwich that is now Brewster, MA. Susannah married WILLIAM PARSLOW, also seen as Parlow, of Harwich, MA, who was born about 1646. They were in Scituate in 1684 as on 28 Oct 1684 the selectmen of Scituate complained to the court that toward the end of July they had warned William Parslow out of town yet he remained there. They were then in Marthas Vineyard from 1685 to July of 1696 when they returned to Harwich. Susannah was living in 1696 when she was mentioned in her father's will, receiving from his estate a one-third of two-thirds of all his removable estate, neat cattle and horse kind. William Parslow/Parlow is not mentioned in Savage or found in the 1992 IGI. Daniel had his estate confirmed to his children on 3 Dec 1658 in order to escape the fines of the court being levied due to his militant Quakerism. He was fined 10£ on 5 June 1658 for refusing to take the oath of fidelitie. Fined 20 shillings on 3 Dec 1658 for refusing to aid the marshall in the execution of his office.
