WingPike Circuit Court Sept Term AD 1854And now on this way came complainant by her solicitors and defendant having been duly served with process by publication in the Pittsfield Union and at a former day of this court defendant having been solemnly called came not but made default and this cause having been referred to the Master in Chancery to take the proof herein and report the same to the court and the said master having made his report in writing which report having been examined by the court; it is ordered, adjudged and decreed that the same be approved and move this convening on for hearing on bill masters report and evidence on the hearing of this cause and it appearing that the complainant and defendant were married four or five year previous to complainant filing her bill. And it further appearing that defendant deserted said plaintiff in the Spring of 1853 and still refused to return to said complainant, & that said defendant since said marriage & before the filing of complainants bill has been guilty of adultery and bigamy; and it further appearing that said complainant had always during said marriage conducted herself as a dutiful & faithful wife of said defendant & that she had resided in the county of Pike & State of Illinois for more than one year preceeding the filing of her bill; It if therefore decreed approved and signed that said complainant be and she is hereby forever discharged from her said marriage contract and the bonds of matrimony now existing between said parties are forever dissolved and that defendant pay the costs of this suit; and that this cause be stricken from the docket.P.
