No doubt Buck Shoemaker and Albert Nash knew they were in some trouble, so off they went to St. Louis, Missouri.

SHOEMAKER YOUTH FLED TO ST. LOUIS

Paul (Buck) shoemaker, who shot John Hoff in the face Wednesday morning with a gun he didn't know was loaded, and who left the scene of the accident immediately, was found in St. Louis Wednesday night.

The Decatur police received a message from the St. Louis police saying that Paul Shoemaker, Kenneth Bundy and Albert Nash had been picked up there as runaway boys and the offices wanted the parents of hte boys notified.

This was done and the parents authorized the Decatur police to ask that the boys be turned loose and headed toward Decatur.

The Hoff boy who was taken to the hospital after the accident, is getting along nicely. It is thought that his face will not be greatly disgifgured, if at all
