Reverend John Wing is my 12th generation grandfather. The last Wing in our family was Electa Wing who married Chauncey Wellman, they married in 1831. After Electra died Chauncey married her sister Lucy Wing.
Thanks for confirming my great grandmother Adelaide Wellman's, research. She would have known Chauncey her grandfather well. |

omg this is so cool...so I was googling Rebecca Davis Wing Cheek and sure enough all this other
stuff pops up that is exactly the same as the
type written paper my mom put in our family books.
She had gotten it from Mt. Pleasant,Utah,Rebecca
married Joseph Smith Wing.Their daughter Adelia,
married Martin S. Bohne,their son, Joseph Martin Bohne, married Clara Lowe. Their son, cicil Rhodes Bohne, married Edrie Mary Bruce, Their daughter, Marilea Joan Bohne married John Steven

| I am a direct decendant of Isaac Von Norman Davis, Benjamin Barzilla Davis, Benjamin Franklin Davis and Colonel Ellsworth Davis my grandfather. All of whom were listed on your website. I was fortunenate to have handed down to me, my gg grandparents Benjamin Barzilla and Catherine Sally Philinda Pettis set of family Bibles. Your website verifies so many things for me. I still have so much more to read. I hope everyone continues to add to this. I believe my grandfather was one of the first Davises' to venture this far west in the 1890's and eventually stay. |

| Regarding the rank of Stephen Pettis of Illinois. You and Joseph Conrad may want to review the history of the Hunter's Lodges in America and the Lower Canada Rebellion of 1838. He is mentioned in the New York Supreme Court Case, and this is very likely where he assumed the rank of Colonel, since he played an active role in this uprising with the French in lower Quebec. My maternal Great x3 Grandmother, Florence Charbonneau of Kasota, MN and her father remember this well. |
